No doubt about that. I was listening to a couple of his 1930s recordings the other day and they were just as great and timeless as they were when first recorded. I'm bookmarking this blog since I not only love animation, but I'm a huge jazz, R&B, and blues fan myself and try to listen to as much of it as I can along with other old music and vinyl record related stuff.
Stumbled upon your blog from reading the comments at Mark Kausler's CatBlog.
Good to hear from you, Roberto. In the 1930's, the pianists included Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Mary Lou Williams and Earl "Fatha" Hines - all fantastic!
